About GBS10

Galaxy Ballistic System (GBS10) is an advanced safety system dedicated to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The system is developed by Galaxy GRS company, a company with more than 30 years of experience in the sector of safety and rescue systems. Thanks to the pyrotechnical gas generator the system is able to rescue your UAV or payload from any critical situation at a minimum possible height. The GBS10 system may be upgraded with the features of the Galaxy GRS system and may be used for UAVs up to the Maximal Take-Off Weight 2400kg and airspeed 360km/h.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

FAST

Energy stored in the pyrotechnic gas generator allows the whole parachute to be ejected in less than 200 ms and the canopy to be fully opened within the next 800 ms. During this time the UAV doesn't lose more than 5 meters of its height.

VERSATILE

GBS10 system is suitable for UAVs with MTOW from 3 kg up to 120 kg and for flight speed from 0 to 300 km/h. The system may be upgraded with the features of Galaxy GRS system which significantly increases the range of use. The MTOW is up to 2400kg and the flight speed is up to 360km/h.

RELIABLE

The system is tested under Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment (RTCA/DO-160). The proper function was proved under extreme conditions of -40°C up to 70°C and humidity 95%. The compliance with the ASTM F3322-18 regulation base is available for any UAV on request.

LIGHTWEIGHT

The system is designed in dedication to minimally affect the UAV operating time or performance when not used. This is fulfilled by the extreme compactness and light weight of the whole system. It is even less than 2% of the Maximal Take-Off Weight. This makes the system the lightest on the market.

COMPATIBLE

GBS10 is compatible with any control system, communication is standardly via CAN Bus or PWM signal. However, the communication protocol may be custom upgraded. GBS10 system may be powered directly via UAV power system or an external battery may be used.

DEVELOPMENT

The system is constantly updated and improved. One of the recent improvements is the GBS10 system full upgradeability with features of the Galaxy GRS systems thanks to the Tough G2 control unit. Recently the AI control unit and Independent launcher are being developed.

CUSTOMISABLE

Only close cooperation with customers may generate a better and safer system. Custom modifications such as hardware and electronic upgrades, or custom extension electronic modules and container holders up to testing and certification under ASTM, CAA, etc., are all available upon request.
